Golden State Jewelry is a family owned and operated company established in 1978 in the downtown Los Angeles Jewelry District. Leon Garabet and his wife of 57 years, Margaret opened their doors with the objective of providing quality jewelry at affordable wholesale prices. With Leon’s 70+ years of jewelry design experience for some of the biggest names in the jewelry industry, he was able to make beautiful custom designs, making many girls dreams come true.

Today, with the help of their children, they have grown the company from a humble 400 square foot shop to a 2000 square foot showroom with hundreds of the latest designs, a knowledgeable sales staff and a factory with the same experienced craftsmen who have been creating beautiful jewelry since Golden State’s early days. The commitment to the customer has not changed. The company is still being run with the same old-fashioned management style that the customer always comes first.

We specialize in engagement rings and loose diamonds. We import our own diamonds, and most loose diamonds are GIA or EGL certified. We also specialize in creating custom designs.
